Who I Am
This website, hubtrubs.com, is run by one person who writes about food, marketing tech chaos, and HubSpot/Salesforce troubleshooting. There’s no company, no team, no secret data warehouse. Just a guy with a keyboard writing about his (poor) food-choices and business-life.
What This Site Collects
Because the internet does internet-like things, this site may collect basic technical information automatically, including:
- Your browser type
- Your device type
- Your approximate location
- Which pages you viewed
This happens through two tools, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, which help me understand what content people visit and how they found it. I don’t combine this data with anything else, and I don’t personally identify you from it.
Comments, accounts, and logins are disabled. You cannot make an account here, and there’s no place to leave a comment (I wouldn’t read it anyway). If you somehow find a way to log in, that would be a major problem because you shouldn’t be able to.
Cookies
Google Analytics may set cookies to measure traffic and performance but that’s not me. These cookies help me see general patterns like what posts people read or how long they stay.
I don’t run ads, retarget you, or sell anything, so these cookies aren’t used for marketing or tracking you around the internet.
Embedded Content
Some posts might include embedded content (like a YouTube video or an image hosted elsewhere). Embedded content acts exactly as if you visited the other website. Those services may collect data or use cookies according to their privacy policies.
GDPR and CCPA Notes
- GDPR: This site doesn’t intentionally target or process data to identify individuals in the EU, nor does it run accounts, comments, or user uploads. Any data collected is standard anonymized analytics data.
- If you are in the EU and have concerns, you can contact me and I’ll delete whatever minimal analytics data I can control, though all of it is anonymous and stored by Google, so you’ll ultimately need to take it up with them.
- CCPA: The California Consumer Privacy Act mainly applies to businesses that sell personal data or collect large amounts of it. I do not sell data — or anything, honestly — so CCPA does not apply here.
What I Don’t Collect
I do not collect:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Payment info (awe, hell nah)
- Personal accounts
- Comment data
I don’t sell, trade, or share any data with anyone (because I’m not really collecting it).
How Long Data Is Kept
Google Analytics retains anonymized usage data for the duration of its maxed out settings. I do not store or manage any personal data myself.
Your Choices
You can:
- Block cookies in your browser
- Use private browsing mode
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking with browser add-ons
- But it’s not worth the effort.
